From Philadelphia to Boston along the northeastern corridor, millions rushed home as a winter storm approached with potential blizzard conditions and 2 – to 3 feet of snowfall.

NEW YORK — With a simple flick of the switch, a 76-foot Norway Spruce from Connecticut (NY) became officially the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree!
On Wednesday night the new Christmas tree was illuminated in the middle of Rockefeller Plaza for the first time for the 2013 holiday season. This is a ceremony that’s been held since 1933.
